Announcements

Gospel Greeting – Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior. Titus 1:4

Call to Worship Song – NTH 1 – All People That on Earth Do Dwell

Call to Worship – But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable angels in festal gathering, and to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God, the judge of all, and to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, and to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than that of Abel. Hebrews 12:22-24

Prayer of Adoration & Invocation

Hymn of Praise – NTH 6 – O Come, My Soul, Bless Thou the Lord

Reading of the Law – Matthew 22:34-40

(Silent Confession of Sin)

Corporate Confession of Sin – Most holy and merciful Father, we acknowledge and confess before you our sinful nature – prone to evil and slothful in good – and all our shortcomings and offenses against you. You alone know how often we have sinned in wandering from your ways, in wasting your gifts, in forgetting your love. O Lord, have mercy on us, who are ashamed and sorry for all the ways we have displeased you. Teach us to hate our errors, cleanse us from our secret faults, and forgive our sins for the sake of your dear Son. And O most holy and loving Father, send your purifying grace into our hearts, we beseech you, that we may henceforth live in your light and walk in your ways, according to the commandments of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon – “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45

Exhortation to Give – Offer to God a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and perform your vows to the Most High. - Psalm 50:14

Prayer for Collection & Pastoral Prayer

Medley

– When I Look into Your Holiness

– Holy, Holy, Holy

Scripture Readings – OT: Psalm 82:1-8 / NT: John 10:22-42

Prayer for Illumination

Exhortation – An Exposition of John 10:31-42: “Who Is Blaspheming Whom?”

Blind unbelief accuses God in the flesh of blasphemy, but Jesus’ divine claims are vindicated.

  1. The unbelieving accusation. (John 10:31-33)
  2. Jesus’ irrefutable counterclaims. (John 10:34-38)
  3. Blind unbelieving rage versus reasonable belief. (John 10:39-42)

Prayer of Application

Song of Response – NTH 165 – Ye Servants of God, Your Master Proclaim

Benediction – Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.  Hebrews 13:20-21
