One of the main reasons we exist as a church is to reach out to our community with a message of hope and life. In one sense, everything we do has an outreach component. In all that we do--worship, education, fellowship, discipleship--we want to think, speak, and act in such a manner that Christianity is commended to those who don't yet believe.
We also make efforts to engage the surrounding culture, build relationships with others, and communicate the practical relevance of the gospel. Our Outreach Team implements and oversees these initiatives. Our challenge is to discover, amid all the possible ways we could make a difference in the community, what are the ways in which we can be most effective, most faithful to what God has entrusted to us.
Some of the Outreach Ministries we are involved with are:
- Allentown Rescue Mission
- Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (CCEF)
- Bright Hope Pregnancy Support Centers
- The Boardwalk Chapel
- Global Outreach of the OPC
