Who We Are

Living Hope was begun in February 1990, with several people meeting together to seek God's direction concerning the start of a new church in the Lehigh Valley. While there were several good churches in the area, these people had a vision of a church with practical Bible teaching and an exciting and relevant worship service that stood in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition. Don't let those words alarm you: "Reformed" means that we hold to the doctrines of Scripture as they were confirmed in the Reformation, and "Presbyterian" indicates our commitment to church government by elders (or "presbyters").

In addition to our Sunday worship services, we have Sunday School classes from pre-K through adult, "Family Night" each Wednesday, as well as various other ministries. We welcome people affected by disability and our facility is completely accessible.  We hope and pray that you will take the time to get to know us better through this website and through visiting our church.  We look forward to getting to know you and serve you as well.

You will find that we share many of the characteristics of other churches: a friendly, caring congregation that holds to the truths of the Bible and worships in an informal setting with a blend of engaging music and inspiring sermons.  What sets Living Hope Church apart is:

  • a seriousness about proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ, who came to save sinners from this lost world

  • a strong belief in the power of prayer for each other and the world

  • a genuine desire to glorify God, relying on the power of the Holy Spirit, because "he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..." (1 Peter 1:3)
