ANNOUNCEMENTS – week of 8/23/2020

1. Today we are pleased to have Tim Krizan, an Elder from Emmanuel OPC in Wilmington, DE here to bring God’s word to us. Tim is a Minnesota native.  He retired in 2016 after a career as a polymer scientist at DuPont in Wilmington.  He is a Graduate of Chesapeake Reformed Theological Seminary and was licensed to preach by the Presbytery of Philadelphia this past February. Tim is currently looking to see where the Lord will lead he and his wife Nancy next. Tim and Nancy have 1 daughter Julie, currently pursuing a MA at Savannah College of Art and Design.

2. Today is the day to provide school supplies for the Hope Kids Backpack event. If you did not want bring anything today and still want to contribute to this, speak with Beth Barshinger.

3. For the last 4 weeks we had volunteers cleaning the church. Jean Morris is planning to return to duty starting this week. She is anxious to get back to her routine. The Sessions wants to thank those who filled in doing the cleaning during this time. Thank you.

4. If you have not done so, please sign up for the Women’s Fellowship evening on Wednesday, September 9th here at the church. The sign up sheet is posted on the bulletin board in the hallway.

5. We look forward to having Pastor Phelps back in the pulpit next week. He will be resuming his office hours this week. If you have prayer concerns or need to speak with him he will be available.

6. As we have discussed in the past, we are asking everyone to please wear a mask before and after the church service. If you want to fellowship after church without a mask, we ask that you adjourn outside and fellowship responsibly.
