LIVING HOPE OPC ORDER OF WORSHIP

for Sunday, November 9, 2025 at 10:45 AM

Dan Bobick Exhorting

Gathering Song – All Praise to Him

Announcements

Gospel Greeting – To those who are called, beloved in God the Father and kept for Jesus Christ: May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.       Jude 1:1-2

Call to Worship Song – We Will Glorify

Call to Worship – How lovely is your dwelling place, O LORD of hosts! My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the LORD; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God. Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O LORD of hosts, my King and my God. Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise!                 Psalm 84:1-4

Prayer of Adoration & Invocation

Hymn of Praise – NTH 115 All Creatures of Our God and King

Reading of the Law – Deuteronomy 5:1-21

(Silent Confession of Sin)

Corporate Confession of Sin – Almighty and most merciful Father, we have erred and strayed from your ways like lost sheep. We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts. We have offended against your holy laws. We have left undone those things which we ought to have done; and we have done those things which we ought not to have done; and there is no health in us. But you, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders. Spare those, O God, who confess their faults. Restore those who are penitent, according to your promises declared unto mankind in Christ Jesus our Lord. And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake, that we may hereafter live a godly, righteous and sober life, to the glory of your holy name. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon – Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.          Romans 5:1-2

Exhortation to Give – “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” – Matthew 6:19-21
