Gathering Song – O Church Arise

Announcements

Call to Worship – Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.  Hebrews 10:19-23

Call to Worship Song – Holy, Mighty Worthy!

Prayer of Adoration & Invocation

Hymn of Praise – NTH 342 Christ is Made the Sure Foundation

Reading of Law – Exodus 20:1-21

(Silent Confession of Sin)

Confession of Sin – Have mercy on us, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out our transgressions. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquity and cleanse us from our sin. For we know our transgressions, and our sin is ever before us. Against you, you only, have we sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. Purge us with hyssop, and we shall be clean; wash us and we shall be whiter than snow. For you have promised, O Father, that if we confess our sins, you will be faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness – by the blood of your Son, Jesus. Restore to us the joy of your salvation by the power of your Holy Spirit. And enable us, by your grace, to walk in the light of your Gospel, and to show fellow sinners the way of repentance, through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen. (Adapted from Psalm 51)

Declaration of Pardon – Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.   Isaiah 1:18

Exhortation to Give – So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.           Gal. 6:10
