Opening Song – Behold Our God

Announcements

Gospel Greeting – Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Call to Worship Song – I Exalt Thee

Call to Worship – Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly! Let Israel be glad in his Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King! Psalm 149:1-2

Prayer of Adoration & Invocation

Reading of the Law – Exodus 20:1-17

(Silent Confession of Sin)

Psalm of Confession – NTH 486 – God, Be Merciful to Me (Psalm 51)

Assurance of Pardon – Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all. Isa. 53:4-6

Exhortation to Give – “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” – Matthew 6:19-21

Prayer for Collection & Pastoral Prayer

– You Are My All in All

– Jesus, Strong and Kind

Scripture Readings – OT: Deuteronomy 6:4-9 / NT: John 10:22-30

Prayer for Illumination

Exhortation – An Exposition of John 10:22-30: “One Christ, One Call, One God”

Jesus demonstrates He is the Christ, the only Savior, and One with His Father.

  1. 1. The defiant unbeliever refuses to see Jesus as the Christ (John 10:22-24)
  2. 2. The defiant unbeliever is responsible for his unbelief – and reveals his “not-My-sheep” status. (John 10:25-26)
  3. 3. Jesus calls, saves, and keeps His sheep – one in divine power with His Father. (John 10:27-30)

Prayer of Application

Song of Response – NTH 169 – My Heart Does Overflow (from Psalm 45:1-10)

Benediction – And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, so that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints. 1 Thess. 3:12-13
