Announcements

Gospel Greeting – Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Call to Worship Song – NTH 381 – Brethren, We Have Met to Worship

Call to Worship – Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness. Psalm 29:1-2

Prayer of Adoration & Invocation

Hymn of Praise – NTH 80 – Lord, with Glowing Heart I’d Praise Thee

Reading of Law – A Summary of the Ten Commandments & Great Commandment

(Silent Confession of Sin)

Corporate Confession of Sin – Almighty, everlasting God, for our many sins we justly deserve eternal condemnation. In Your great mercy, you sent your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who won for us forgiveness of sins and everlasting righteousness. Grant us true repentance that, dead to sin, we may be raised up by faith in Your life-giving Gospel. Grant us your Holy Spirit that we may be ever thankful and live a faithful and godly life in your service; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Declaration of Pardon – But whatever gain I had, I counted as loss for the sake of Christ. Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith. – Philippians 3:7-9

Doxology – NTH 731

Exhortation to Give – Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all… O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own. 1 Chron. 29:12, 16

Jesus teaches us how to pray, serve, and live together – as His disciples in His kingdom:

  1. 1. Remember WHO we pray to. (Matthew 6:9)
  2. 2. Remember WHAT to prioritize in prayer – GOD’S Name, GOD’S kingdom, GOD’S will. (Matthew 6:9-10)
  3. 3. Remember WHAT we need – as His disciples. (Matthew 6:11-13)
  4. 4. Remember WHOSE kingdom, power, and glory we seek. (Matthew 6:13)
  5. 5. Remember FORGIVEN disciples MUST FORGIVE others. (Matthew 6:14-15)
