Call to Worship Hymn – Reformation Hymn

Call to Worship – Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness. Psalm 29:1-2

Prayer of Adoration & Invocation

Hymn of Praise – NTH 181 – We Come, O Christ to You

Reading of the Law – Deuteronomy 5:1-21

(Silent Confession of Sin)

Corporate Confession of Sin – Almighty, everlasting God, for our many sins we justly deserve eternal condemnation. In Your great mercy, you sent your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, who won for us forgiveness of sins and everlasting righteousness. Grant us true repentance that, dead to sin, we may be raised up by faith in Your life-giving Gospel. Grant us your Holy Spirit that we may be ever thankful and live a faithful and godly life in your service; through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Declaration of Pardon – My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. 1 John 2:1-2

Exhortation to Give – Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit. I have received full payment, and more. I am well supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent, a fragrant offering, a sacrifice acceptable and pleasing to God. And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen. Philippians 4:17-20

Jesus eases our troubled hearts when we believe in Him. You can trust Him because:

  1. 1. He goes through death into life to secure our heavenly home. (John 14:1-4)
  2. 2. He is the way to God, the truth of God, and the life from God. (John 14:5-6)
  3. 3. He makes known the Father to us. (John 14:7)
