Announcements

Gospel Greeting – Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord. – 1 Tim. 1:2

Call to Worship Song – NTH 1 – All People That on Earth Do Dwell (Psalm 100)

Call to Worship – God has gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. Sing praises to God, sing praises! Sing praises to our King, sing praises! For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises to him with song! – Ps. 47:5-7

Prayer of Adoration & Invocation

Opening Hymn – NTH 16 – Come Let Us Sing unto the Lord (Psalm 98)

Reading of Law – Titus 3:1-3

Confession of Sin – Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart; we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves. We are truly sorry and we humbly repent. For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on us and forgive us; that we may delight in your will, and walk in your ways, to the glory of your Name. Amen.

Assurance of Pardon – Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isa. 55:7

Confession of Faith (The Nicene Creed)

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty,

Maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God,

begotten of his Father before all worlds,

God of God, Light of Light,

very God of very God,

begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father;

by whom all things were made;

who for us men and for our salvation

came down from heaven,

and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary,

and was made man;

and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate;

he suffered and was buried;

and the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures,

and ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father;

and he shall come again, with glory, to judge both the living and the dead;

whose kingdom shall have no end.

And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, and giver of Life,

who proceeds from the Father and the Son;

who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified;

who spoke by the prophets;

and we believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church;

we acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins;

and we look for the resurrection of the dead,

and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Exhortation to Give – Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In your hand are power and might, and in your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all. . . . O Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a house for your holy name comes from your hand and is all your own. 1 Chron. 29:12, 16

  3. Jesus will do God’s work of Last Day resurrection and final judgment. (John 5:27-29)
