How to Answer "My God Would Never..."

How To Answer “My God Would Never….”

  

A Low View of God and Sin Leads to a Low View of Judgment and Low Living

 

Transitional Question: What is the remedy? Remember who God is & what THE God did, is doing and will do

 

               First of all…get it straight about “My god: and “THE God”

                              Jeremiah 10:9-10

                              John 17:3 3  

                              1 John 5:20

 

  1. THE God Has…. Remember What God Did! - Jude 5-7

 

               We need reminding about what God did in the past…

                             The Israelites

                              The Angels

                              Sodom and Gomorrah

 

               But does this still apply.  Jude 7 -               1 Corinthians 10:11-12  

              

               We also need to be reminded - that Jesus,who saved a people…DID - Isaiah 53:5-6

 

  1. THE God Is…. Hear What God Is Doing! - Jude 8-13

 

               What God is saying IS an expression of his judgment…

 

               Their behavior is sin –

                              Michael?  

                              But the point is that God does did and does! “The Lord rebuke you.”

 

                              Their sin is serious and deserves judgment -             Jude 11-13 – Woe

                              Five vivid pictures of appearing fruitful but not bearing fruit

         We also need to be reminded of what God is doing to show His mercy and grace-

 

               that Jesus,who saved a people…..IS   - 1 John 1:9-2:1  

 

  1. THE God Will….See What God Will Do! - Jude 14-16

 

               Who is Enoch –               2 Thessalonians 1:5-10

 

               There are His holy ones…. And then the “ungodly – 4X)

 

We also need to be reminded of what God will do to show His mercy and grace

                             

               that Jesus, who saved a people…Will   Mat 13:41-43
