Living Hope offers various opportunities for the church to minister to the congregation and to the community at large. These are either directed to specific groups and needs, or are intended to minister to everyone who desires to participate.
Each Sunday morning we offer classes for all age groups, from toddlers to adults. The Sunday School program at Living Hope is designed to provide, for both young and old, the opportunity to hide God’s Word in their hearts, and to understand how to apply its teachings as guides and guards for their lives. A printable brochure is available for download and/or printing in Adobe pdf or Microsoft Word format.
Wednesday evenings are special times for the young people of Living Hope and their friends. For an hour and a half, we have opportunity for our youth from 1st grade through high school - within age appropriate groupings - to learn from the Word, spend time enjoying one another's company and conversation, and participating in activities together. The older youth (Junior and Senior High) have monthly activities as well, sometimes including the families in the church, and even serving the church by service projects.
Adult Bible Study and Prayer
The adults of the church also have the opportunity on Wednesday evenings to relax and share together in a time of informal Bible study and discussion, and also to spend time in prayer together. The subjects discussed range widely from current issues to issues of doctrine to lessons from church history, all done in the context of learning from the Scriptures.
Women Encouraging Women
Meeting twice monthly, this group provides the women of the church an opportunity to study and apply the Word of God in the company and fellowship of other women within the congregation. The studies are topical, pertaining to particular concerns of women and to principles for godly living.
Men's Prayer Breakfast
The third Saturday morning of each month is an opportunity for the men to meet with one another at the church for a continental breakfast, fellowship in a relaxed atmosphere, and the opportunity to study and discus the Sciptures as they particularly relate to the challenges they face as men in this world, be it as father, husbands, sons, or any of the various other ways in which men are called to serve their Savior.
Local Ministries Which We Support
Living Hope supports the work of these other ministries in the Greater Lehigh Valley area:
Care Net pregnancy centers offer free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, peer counseling services, post-abortion support and other practical, emotional and spiritual help to empower women and men facing pregnancy related concerns.
All Care Net pregnancy centers are committed to serving women in need with care and integrity. This commitment to excellence in care is upheld through our standards of affiliation. Also, all Care Net pregnancy centers are committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Allentown Rescue Mission
For more than 100 years, the Mission has been a place where men have begun to experience restoration with God, their families, and their communities. The Mission continues to reinvent itself to address the increasingly complex causes of homelessness. Their staff is educated and experienced, professional and compassionate, bringing hope and help to men in need.
Christian Counseling and Education Foundation
Every heart is a mission field...and the mission of the Christian Counseling & Educational Foundation (CCEF) is to see hearts transformed as God applies his Word to the problems of life. They have seen - thousands of times - that, in Christ, God truly has given his people "everything we need for life and godliness" (2 Peter 1:3). God's grace, God's Word, and God's people are what Christians need for personal change, spiritual growth, and help with the pressing problems of life.
